Objective:

This NAMA project focuses on an effort of Government of DKI Jakarta to implement energy efficiency measures in a new office building, City Hall /DPRD DKI Jakarta, in order to achieve Green Building criteria.

Activities: (2015 - 2019)
The building is utilized for both, City Hall and DPRD DKI Jakarta offices. The building has not yet fully operational. Currently, only 11 out of 23 floors of the building have been used, i.e. 1st to10th floors are occupied for City Hall/DPRD DKI Jakarta office while 11th floor is for auxiliary facilities. The rest of the building floors have not been furnished yet. In addition, the building has 3 basement floors that have been utilized for parking area.

To meet Green Building requirements, all areas of this building are designed to meet energy efficient building standards. The project scope is designing the building envelope, installing and retrofitting to energy efficient equipment in the building.

Impact and MRV

pChart

Cumulative GHG reductions: 0.0285 MtCO2e
Mitigative capacity:

No information has been provided on mitigative capacity

Co-benefits:

Social: The government of Jakarta plans to carry this forward as example for other buildings. More buildings are required to carry out plans of this nature, to contribute to the RAN GRK target in 2020, for energy conservation programs in buildings and industries.
Economic: Annual energy savings will have an economic impact, associated with 2340 MWh annually.
Environmental: There will be GHG reduction and air quality improvement from this project.

MRV Framework: (2015 - 2019)

MRV system will include organization/human resources and training/capacity building for those that will control, estimate, archive and monitor energy reduction potential and associated emissions.

This is proposed to be a unilateral NAMA. The cost of the project are going to be incurred by DKI Jakarta Government Funding (APBD), this will cover the cost of the energy efficiency measures. The above does not include the cost of Green Building certification of Rp 217 million, cost for the building management system of Rp 1 billion, cost of the MRV system (human/organizational resources, and training/capacity building). The cost of the building management system and the MRV are expected to be funded by other climate change funding sources, such as ICCTF (Indonesia Climate Change Trust Fund), climate change trust fund of the Ministry of Finance, etc.
